Apple Espresso | Recipe
Next time you want to walk that little extra mile for your guests, go for the bullet-proof Apple Espresso—absolutely perfect for a hot summer day.
The Apple Espresso turns a potent shot of espresso into a delicious and well thought-out iced coffee. Its secret is as simple as it is irresistible: it leverages the flavor harmony between the apple and the coffee. In fact, you can consider other various fruits for your fruity espresso experience, so long as they're not too watery or acidic. Banana, fig, pineapple, berries, or pear are all delicious choices. Fruits like kiwis, however, are best avoided.
The Apple Espresso boldly drives home an unlikely fan favorite combination of flavors for those wanting to experiment and mix things up a bit—and it's also incredible simple to prepare.
Ingredients:
- 6 oz fresh apple juice
- 5 oz ice
- 2 oz espresso
- Cinnamon garnish
- Apple garnish
Method of preparation:
Preparing this drink is a breeze: simply add the apple juice and ice to a Martini or whiskey glass, pour in an espresso made with freshly ground Bean of Fire coffee, and decorate the rim of the glass with apple and a cinnamon stick.
For extra points and to add that je ne sais quoi of a show factor, use a chef's blowtorch and light the tip of the cinnamon stick for a delicious mist of fragrant cinnamon (of course this step is completely optional, and no fire is always safer than fire in the living room).
Quick to make, non-alcoholic, and extremely refreshing. Enjoy your apple espresso!
